Nnamdi Kanu, Other IPOB Leaders Go Into Hiding

Nnamdi Kanu, founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra and other leaders of the group have gone into hiding.
This followed Friday’s declaration by the Nigerian Army that IPOB and other pro-Biafran groups are terrorists organisations.
In this wise, the country’s security agencies have launched a manhunt for Kanu and the other leaders of IPOB.
Available reports have it that Kanu has not been seen in his country home in Afaraukwu near Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
He has not equally been seen in the public since then.
Kanu’s younger brother, simply identified as Fine Boy, confirmed the development to SUNDAY PUNCH.
Fine Boy said: “Only my brother can tell Nigerians where he is, I can’t.
“I don’t know why the Army should call IPOB a terrorist organisation, it is out of their desperation to arrest Nnamdi and frustrate the Biafran struggle.
“We have petitioned the United Nations and the European Union.
“The world knows that IPOB is a non-violent organisation, we don’t carry arms, we don’t kill, and we believe violence can never solve any problem.
“Nnamdi will soon disclose his current location and IPOB will also react to the proscription of the group by the South-East governors’ forum.”
Top on the list of security agents looking for Kanu are the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police.
They are said to have been given the order to arrest him and other leaders of IPOB once sighted.
