A member of the now outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Henry Ogar Ogoyi, who died while protecting their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was laid to rest yesterday October 1st. According to reports, Henry who hails from Iyala Ogoja, died during the clash between the military and some members of the secessionist group in Umuahia, Abia state on September 14th.
He is said to be the only surviving son of his parents. He left behind a pregnant wife and their one-year-old child.
During and after the burial, emotions ran high and there were comments…
”And KANU couldn’t honor him by coming for his burial. Is this the kind of leader igbos are agitating for? A leader that abandons ship at the first sighting of a storm? A leader that has his family safe 6000 miles away in another country. A leader that is leading from the back and in hiding. A supposed biafran with a british passport? The shame is not only on kanu but to all those who have followed him despite GOD given them individual brains. You are the fools and not kanu. Anyone is allowed to ask you to come and take a ride, it’s left for you to accept or decline to get on the ride. I hope his parents will raise their other kids better.
”We warned them. But they chanted; give us Biafra or death. So now his wish has come true. No Biafra and dead came for you. Who will be the next victim? Definitely, not Nnamdi Kanu and his family. Politics.
