The Zenith Bank Plc has donated five Hilux patrol vehicles equipped with state of the art communication gadgets to the Abia State government to help fight insecurity in the state.
Handing over the vehicles to the state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu represented by his deputy, Hon Ude Okochukwu, the acting zonal head of Zenith Bank,Mr. Emeka Nwankwo said the gesture is in fulfillment of the promise of the Managing Director of the bank during his last visit to the state.
He assured that the bank will continue to partner and support the governor in all his endeavours and also supported the Abia Friends Initiative with the presentation of a draft of N2million for the procurement of pairs of shoes for pupils.
Mr Nwankwo appreciated Governor Ikpeazu for his giant developmental strides in all facets of the state’s economy and promised to support him in other areas.
He appealed to other corporate bodies in the state to support the state government to succeed.
Receiving the vehicles, the governor, Dr Ikpeazu thanked the Zenith Bank for its partnership with the state government and promised to continue to co-operate with the bank as well as to deploy the vehicles for the purpose they are meant.
