Today my marriage with my darling wife, Abosede “Flo” Adeoya is 10 years old. I am not deeply interested in celebrating anniversaries, birthdays and all that. But I am particularly happy about this one. My wife and I chatted about it this morning and I looked at her very carefully, yes, she is very happy in my house and I am very content under her “management.” Now, many people didn’t think I could be a good husband so when I finally got married at 40+ there were all kinds of permutations, from 3 month length of marriage to 3 years. It didn’t help matters when less than 12months into the marriage she had to jet out to london for over a year for a post graduate at middlesex. The grapevine went wild. Well, to the shame of all evil prophets she returned to my waiting arms. We both have human failings but I think we both understand what it takes to build a home that lasts despite some big katakatas. On the contrary, I really think I am a good husband! When she is angry, I am always, always as cool as a cucumber. Not her when I am, she always makes me swallow my pride but sha I don’t mind.
