Access & Diamond Bank hosted the International Women’s Day Conference which held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, to remind women in business that passion needs to be fortified with adequate funding in order to facilitate growth, expansion and better impact.
The event kicked off with an opening remark by the bank’s Women Banking Coordinator, Ayona Aguele-Trimnell, who set the invitees in high spirits by informing attendees of the presence of officials from Corporate Affairs Commission, Federal Inland Revenue Service and an Insurance company. Clearly, logistics had been put in place to support the attendees with business registration service, tax and audit assistance, and insurance advice.
Panel discussions and deep dive sessions handled topics such as “How women can leverage finance as a practical tool to grow their business” and “How women can build smart businesses through innovative interventions like technology, product service and differentiation”. The panelists also answered questions on business equity and debt, how to identify and sustain business opportunities, branding structure, and procedures for activating your contacts and network.
For added variety, there was a special drama performance titled “I Open Eye” by widely acclaimed stage drama group, Hear Word. Finally, the women were treated to a banquet and an after-party which were relaxed avenues for networking and pooling ideas with other female entrepreneurs.
The entire conference was live streamed and recorded live cast can be accessed here.
