Frontline Journalist and former running mate to Ogun state 2017 governorship candidate has died in UK .
CATO… Comrade Ayinde Tunde Oladunmoye, died on Friday, April 4, 2025
The Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, Abdulraheem Ayinde Tunde Oladunjoye’s death has been confirmed by his wife.
YOUNEWS learnt he died in the United Kingdom where he has been battling an undisclosed illness.
He wa earlier been flown from Nigeria to the UK for an advanced medical care.
Oladunjoye was the running mate of the General Tunji Olurin in the 2017 governorship election in Ogun State.
He was also a former chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area during the tenure of Governor Gbenga Daniel.
Family source says that burial arrangement would be made known in due time.
Tunde was, at a time, the spokesman for former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was a deputy governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2012 (Gen Tunji Olurin was the governorship aspirant that year).
He was Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government in Ogun State under the administration of Governor Gbenga Daniel.
He fought with the governor and was eased out of office.
He moved to the APC and became the State Caretaker Committee’s Publicity Secretary.
Tunde has always dreamed of building a media empire, and he was, at a time, made to sit atop the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC).
One thing you cannot take away from him is his strong character.
When he believes in something, he pursues it without any fear.
