Mandilas Market Lagos on Fire Hours After UBA inferno

Another fire outbreak has hit Lagos Island, this time at Central Plaza in Mandilas Market, just hours after the UBA branch at Afriland Towers on Broad Street was gutted by flames.

YOUNEWS learnt that the fire started suddenly on Tuesday evening, sending traders and passersby into panic as thick smoke billowed from the busy commercial plaza.

The cause of the fire remains unclear, and emergency services are racing to the scene to contain the situation and prevent further damage.

This incident follows the earlier inferno at the UBA branch in Afriland Towers, where staff were forced to leap from windows to escape.

As of the time of filing this report, no casualties have been confirmed.
