President Bola Tinubu yesterday evening returned to Abuja from his working vacation abroad. He could said to have rush back, since his returned earlier than schedule.
President Tinubu was welcomed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Abdullahi Sule, Chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun
His return comes ahead of the expected reinstatement of suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who is due back in office tomorrow following the expiration of the six-month state of emergency imposed by the President.
YOUNEWS learnt from unconfirmed sources that Fubara may defect to APC in groundswell event ,which President Tinubu considered very vital , base on 2027 Political calculations.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 6:50 p.m.
Tinubu had departed Nigeria on September 4, 2025, for France to spend part of his annual holiday, with an initial plan to split the period between France and the United Kingdom.
A statement issued before his departure had noted that “the vacation will last 10 working days.”
However, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced on Monday that Tinubu had concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and would return to Abuja on September 16, 2025 (yesterday), to resume official duties.
