The dispatch rider beaten black and blue by a leader of NURTW in Lagos Shamsideen Adio later landed in an hospital, after getting the beating of his life
It was gathered the man descended on him for scratching his car and blocking his right of way
The NURTW leader in white singlet said he was not done with him yet
It is alleged that same NURTW boss had beaten a man to coma few days back before this particular incident , the victim it was learnt later died in the hospital .
Shamelon later dragged Rahman to the police station, he was detained. It was when the investigation police officer, IPO, observed that Rahman was bleeding profusely in the head that he was ordered transferred to the hospital where he reportedly passed away on, Wednesday, 17th of September 2025.
The Lagos Police Command has confirmed that Mr Samusideen Adio actually beat up a man on the 28th of August 2025 .
YOUNEWS learnt, he inflicted so much injuries on him with a ring ( which some have come out to say was laced with juju )
The victim was rushed to the hospital and later died on the 17th of September 2025
YOUNEWS posit that for the records, contrary to the story being peddled on social media , the dispatch rider involved in the second incident didn’t die , he is receiving treatment in the hospital although he is placed on oxygen, at the intensive care unit (ICU).
‘’,Shamelon” allegedly beat a Dispatch Rider to pulp, he is on death throe at the hospital as we type this.
YOUNEWS also learnt from reliable sources that two weeks ago, same Shamelon had beat one Adeshina Rahman to death.
The event leading to the death of the man began began on August 28 when Shamelon stopped a cycle that the deceased, Rahman was riding , over payment of dues which are collected from riders.
We learnt Rahman wasn’t even the rider, rather he had intervened , blaming the NURTW for multiple fees.
In the course of disagreement Shamelon repeatedly pummeled Rahman in the head with a ring .
Shamelon, joined by three others then dragged Rahman on the floor..he was pinned down by by two persons, while Shamelon was kicking and blowing him in the head.
The man collapsed in the process and was rushed to the hospital and doctors after examination determined that he had suffered severe injury including blood clot in the brain.
He subsequently died on the 17th of September leading to massive protest in the area .
Samsideen Oladiti a.k.a Shamelon, YOUNEWS was told by citizens around the area, that he is a terror who regularly brutalized people and also seized okada and keke Marwa at will.
Unknown to Samsideen Oladiti the whole brutal episode where he was brutally beating the late Rahman was recorded and passed on to the Police.
He has been arrested and detained.
And the Police Commissioner has assured the residents and protesting youth that justice will be served in the case.
Inspite of the arrest , there are suspicion that he would be released or escape somehow.
There were protest by aggrieved residents protesting the death of Adeshina Rahman on the 17th of September 2025.
According to residents of the area the man that should be held responsible for the death of Rahman is Samsideen Oladiti, alias “Shamelon a top official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW)
It took the intervention of the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State , CP Olohundare Jimoh to douse tension and prevent a general chaos on the Island following the protest.
