Manchester Unite to pay Jose N11 billion as compensation

The club currently languishes in sixth place in the league, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool after Sunday’s insipid 3-1 defeat at Anfield.

A temporary caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season while the club searches for his successor.

“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future,” a statement said.

To be exact, Manchester United will have to shell out around £24million (N11,024,520,000) to the sacked boss before the winter transfer window comes to a close.

Many had predicted that Mourinho would get the axe before the new year, but should that happen, these monumental costs coupled with the possible money spent for the January transfer window will come into play.
